Meetings

The Club normally meets for lunch of the second Tuesday of each month. We gather informally from 12.30 for a pre-lunch drink and chat, and eat at 1pm. If we have a speaker this will be pre-lunch starting at 12 noon

Lunch is normally 2 courses and we are trialling the offering of starter/main and main/sweet in different months. A choice of 3 items per course is normally available, with most usual dietary needs met. Meals are selected at the previous meeting to ensure speedy service, so we are normally finished before 3 pm. The meetings are in our own room in Arnold House, part of the Masonic Hall. This has disabled access. It is located at the end of Elsee Road, Rugby, CV21 3BA, with a car park. There are minimal formalities so we can make the most of the social atmosphere.

Twice a year the lunch meetings are opened to wives, partners and widows. The Ladies’ Lunch is held in mid January and the Summer Outing in mid June and includes a meal at an appropriate venue. In addition we have had a wide variety of other social outings including an auctioneers, a Greek restaurant, Kilworth House picnic & musical, and a glider flights evening. We are looking forward to resuming these activities consistent with ensuring our own safety. We hope to continue the more informal close social meetings which have been difficult to hold with Covid risk.
